    La lectura es fundamental para el desarrollo cognitivo y emocional de los niños y niñas, y es por ello que es importante fomentar el gusto y el hábito de la lectura desde la educación inicial, por tal razón, es importante establecer estrategias que pueden ser útiles como leer en voz alta a los niños y niñas, ya que es una buena estrategia que emplean los adultos, ya sean los padres, los docentes o los cuidadores. De esta manera, ellos podrán escuchar las historias, observar las ilustraciones y así aprender a amar los libros. Otra estrategia es tener un espacio para la lectura en el hogar o en la institución educativa destinado a la lectura, este espacio debe contar con libros y ser un lugar acogedor y tranquilo que invite a la lectura. También se podría Ofrecer variedad de libros que se ajusten a sus intereses y necesidades y participar en actividades relacionadas con la lectura, como cuentacuentos, actividades de escritura y dibujo, entre otras. Es importante establecer rutinas de lectura diarias en las que los niños y niñas tengan un tiempo dedicado exclusivamente a la lectura, esto les ayudará a crear un hábito y a disfrutar de la lectura de manera regular.
