  En el colegio de bachillerato Jorge Enrique Chávez Celi, se realizó un estudio cuantitativo y cualitativo para analizar las competencias digitales de los docentes, reflejando la realidad educativa en Ecuador. La investigación mostró que el 60% de los educadores poseen competencias digitales a niveles Suficiente y Para Innovar, mientras que el 40% presenta un nivel Insuficiente. Se evidenció una integración activa de herramientas tecnológicas, como Dropbox y Google Drive, en sus prácticas pedagógicas. Sin embargo, se detectó una correlación entre la edad de los docentes y su competencia digital; aquellos mayores de 40 años presentaron un menor dominio en TIC comparado con los docentes más jóvenes. Estos hallazgos resaltan la necesidad de una formación continua en tecnología para todos los docentes en Ecuador, garantizando que la educación se mantenga acorde con los avances digitales y las demandas del siglo XXI.

  At the Jorge Enrique Chávez Celi High School, a quantitative and qualitative study was carried out to analyze the digital skills of teachers, reflecting the educational reality in Ecuador. The research showed that 60% of educators have digital skills at the Sufficient and To Innovate levels, while 40% present an Insufficient level. There was evidence of an active integration of technological tools, such as Dropbox and Google Drive, in their pedagogical practices. However, a correlation was detected between the age of teachers and their digital competence; Those older than 40 years presented a lower ICT proficiency compared to younger teachers.
