This article details the procedure called direct rigidity method with the objective of obtaining the deformations and internal forces, either in tension or compression, of the bars that make up a twodimensional flat reinforcement. The methodology of this research is descriptive and the quantitative approach; and consists of obtaining a Q-D system in which we define the number of degrees of freedom to which the nodal loads are assigned, in addition to the primary system that takes external forces into account, and a complementary system in which a value is given unit to the displacement, and finally carry out the verification of the results obtained through the Ftool software. It is concluded that the direct method of stiffness facilitates the structural analysis of hyperstatic reinforcements with two or more degrees of freedom, and also when performing the verification of results with the mentioned software, it is determined that the variation is minimal, therefore the application of this methodology is reliable.
