Resumen de Las referencias bíblicas en el Eulogium de notitia verorum et pseudoapostolorum de Arnau de Vilanova

  Resumen: Este trabajo trata de mostrar las referencias bíblicas que usó el médico y teólogo Arnau de Vilanova en la obra de carácter polémico y espiritual, el Eulogium de notitia verorum et pseudo-apostolorum dentro de la polémica gerundense de 1304 contra Bernat Puigcercós. Para ello, vamos a exponer las diversas referencias veterotestamentarias y neotestamentarias, con una breve referencia a las citas no bíblicas. Hay que señalar que la intencionalidad del uso de las alusiones constantes a las epístolas paulinas, para argumentar las señales apostólicas del verdadero apóstol se realizan de una forma muy reiterativa, y con intercalaciones acerca del fin del mundo y el Anticristo. La mayoría de las referencias bíblicas son directas y se centran en el Nuevo Testamento. Forman parte de un método expositivo contrario a la corriente tomista, y esto hace que se considere un acercamiento a las fuentes bíblicas, y, por tanto, al cristianismo primitivo. En definitiva, para Arnau era esencial e indispensable el conocimiento de los Evangelios, porque es donde hallamos el verdadero mensaje cristiano.

  This work tries to show the biblical references used by the physician and theologian Arnau de Vilanova in his polemic and spiritual work, the Eulogium de notitia verorum et pseudo-apostolorum in the Girona polemic of 1304 against Bernat Puigcercós. For this purpose, we will present the various OT and NT references, with a brief reference to the non-biblical quotations. It should be noted that the intentionality of the use of constant allusions to the Pauline epistles, to argue the apostolic signs of the true apostle are made in a very reiterative way, and with intercalations about the end of the world and the Antichrist. Most of the biblical references are direct and focus on the New Testament. They are part of an expository method contrary to the Thomistic current, and this makes it to be considered an approach to the biblical sources, and, therefore, to primitive Christianity. In short, for Arnau it was essential and indispensable to know the Gospels, because that is where we find the true Christian message.
