    Este artículo es una propuesta de análisis para comprender el actual proceso constituyente chileno desde una perspectiva histórica. Para ello se propone pensar la Constitución de 1980 desde la vuelta a la democracia (1989) hasta el denominado “estallido social” de octubre del 2019. La idea central es que los modos de comprender la Constitución de Pinochet (Constitución de 1980) son parte de la conformación de la conciencia histórica y que el “estallido social” presenta un tiempo de ruptura que articula un nuevo modo de pensar la conciencia histórica del Chile reciente.

    This article is a proposal for analysis to understand the current Chilean constituent process from a historical perspective. To do this, it is proposed to analyze the 1980 Constitution from the return to democracy (1989) until the so-called "social outbreak" of October 2019. The focus is that the ways of understanding Pinochet's Constitution (1980 Constitution) are part of the conformation of the historical consciousness, and that the "social outbreak" presents a time of rupture that articulates a new way of thinking about the historical consciousness of modern Chile.
