Arte para ser dichoso. La jovialidad científica de Baltasar Gracián y su relación con Nietzsche

    La presente contribución tiene como objetivo principal desarrollar, quince años después de la última prospección investigadora, una actualización crítica en torno a las vinculaciones entre la filosofía de Nietzsche y las obras del escritor español Baltasar Gracián. Para ello se establecerá un nuevo estado de la cuestión a la luz de las nuevas perspectivas teóricas y de los nuevos datos materiales -especialmente los referidos a la biblioteca personal de Nietzsche-. Dentro de este muestreo se establecerá una catalogación definitiva de las referencias a Gracián en la obra de Nietzsche que incluirá una revisión hermenéutica de dichas citas. Finalmente, se plantearán dos nuevas vías de investigación filosófica que vinculan a ambos pensadores: el escepticismo metafísico, que acerca a Gracián al pirronismo y lo aleja del estoicismo con el que el propio Nietzsche lo vinculaba; y el concepto de “jovialidad científica”, rastreado en el Oráculo manual como una preconfiguración de la figura nietzscheana del espíritu libre.

    The main objective of this contribution is to develop a critical update on the connections between Nietzsche’s philosophy and the works of the Spanish writer Baltasar Gracián, fifteen years after the last research. To do this, a new state of the question will be established according to the new theoretical perspectives and of the new material data -specially, those which refer to Nietzsche’s personal library. Within this sampling, it will be established a definitive cataloging of the references to Gracián in Nietzsche’s work which will include a hermeneutical review of these quotations as well. Finally, two new ways of philosophical investigation will be set out: the metaphysical skepticism, which approaches Gracián to Pirronism and moves him away from the Stoicism in which Nietzsche included him; and the concept of “scientific jolliness”, detected in the Oráculo manual as a presetting of the Nietzschean free spirit figure.
