    Cuando una persona joven cumple la mayoría de edad adquiere el uso total de sus derechos políticos y electorales, ejerce acciones correspondientes al ser ciudadano. Adquiere cédula de identidad y puede, entre otros derechos, votar en las elecciones. Ingresa a formar parte del común de electores que delegan en los gobernantes la dirección del país. El voto de la persona joven es parte de los votos que determinan el rumbo por el cual se dirigirá el país. La inscripción en las listas de electores de los ciudadanos que cumplen dieciocho años, el voto joven, es el punto relevante de este estudio, así como determinar qué sucede cuando esa población llega a la mayoría de edad en el periodo en que el padrón electoral está ya “cerrado”

    When young people reach the age of majority, they acquire the full use of their political and electoral rights, exercise actions corresponding to being citizens. They acquire an identification card and can, among other rights, vote in elections. They become part of the common number of voters who delegate the direction of the country to the rulers. The young person's vote is part of the votes that determine the direction in which the country will be headed. The registration in the lists of voters of citizens who turn eighteen, the young vote, is the relevant point of this study, as well as to determine what happens when that population reaches the age of majority in the period in which the electoral roster is already "closed"
