Resumen de Elements of dialogic communication in gandhi's second round table conference address

Michael J. Beatty, Ralph R. Behnke, Barbara Jane Banks

  • This essay explores the applicability of dialogic communication in conflictful public speaking settings. Mahatma Gandhi's address, “I Live Under No Illusion,” is analyzed according to Makay and Gaw's seven characteristics of dialogue. The analysis supports the contention that dialogic communication can exist in rhetorical situations in which issues of contention are central to the speaker and the audience.
