The high cost of photovoltaic solar power makes it necessary, before undertaking any subsequent study, to dimension photovoltaic installations as accurately as possible.
In the case of photoirrigation applications, it is very important to determine the conecction between the photoelectric and pumping characteristics of a determined scheme. That is, it is very importan to know the surface head-flow rate-frequency of the DC/AC converter, because the knowledge of this surface permits us to dimension appropriately the size of the solar pumping system.
In this work we present a first study about the determination of the surface head- flow rate- frequency of the DC/AC converter for a photoirrigation scheme consisting of a 1.1 Kwp solar field, connected through a DC/AC converser of 1.5 KW to a pump of 735 W.
