  The present work approaches some conceptions incorporated in the theoretical thought and in the human practice about its relation with the nature. It starts from the idea of a look cast in the middle coming from a human subject constructed and understood as superior. We assume this as problems, because, dominated by certain competitive tendencies and supported by the desire for ownership and profit, added with our high capacity to modify the environment today, we have the effect of this, a society surrendered to the challenges of its own actions. Being aware of its dependence on the harmony of the environment, it is up to you to outline what is to come. Through this vertical foundation, this relationship is obsessed with development and progress, whether individual or collective. Using the natural environment as a laboratory, it makes this, object modelable by the needs of consumption and production. Sustained in this position, a relationship of strangeness with nature is created, causing withdrawal and objectifying it. Therefore, our goal is to demonstrate some of these interpretations that have triggered in the current model of relationship with the natural environment. As an investigative method, we use an attentive and critical reading of bibliographies in the field of geography and philosophy.

  O presente trabalho aborda algumas concepções incorporadas no pensamento teórico e naprática humana sobre sua relação com a natureza. Parte-se da ideia de um olhar lançado ao meio advindode um sujeito humano formado e entendido como superior. Assumimos isso como problemas, pois,dominados por certas tendências competitivas e amparados no desejo da posse e lucro, adicionado comnossa alta capacidade de modificar o meio na atualidade, tem-se como efeito disso, uma sociedadeentregue aos desafios de suas próprias ações. Estando consciente de sua dependência da harmonia domeio ambiente, recai sobre si o delineamento do que está por vir. Por meio dessa fundamentaçãoverticalizada, essa relação fica obcecada pelo desenvolvimento e progresso, seja individual ou coletivo.Usando o entorno natural como laboratório, faz deste, objeto modelável pelas necessidades de consumoe produção. Sustentado nessa posição, cria-se uma relação de estranhamento com a natureza,ocasionando afastamento e objetivando a mesma. Portanto, nosso objetivo é demonstrar algumas dessasinterpretações que desencadearam no atual modelo de relação com o meio natural. Como métodoinvestigativo, usamos uma leitura atenta e crítica de bibliografias do campo da geografia e filosofia.
