La narrativa transmedia en los true crime: del relato periodístico a las pantallas. El caso de Lucía en la telaraña

    El artículo aborda la narrativa transmedia en los true crime, gé-nero narrativo caracterizado por la investigación y reconstruc-ción de crímenes y escándalos reales, convertido en uno de los más exitosos en las plataformas de streaming. Indaga en el re-corrido del relato periodístico hasta el formato audiovisual para demostrar, de este modo, la continuidad constatable a través de los siglos. Para ello se acude al método histórico, al análisis docu-mental de teorías narrativas clásicas y contemporáneas, y al aná-lisis de un caso reciente y paradigmático: la docuserie Lucía en la telaraña (RTVE Play, 2021). Los resultados confirman que el true crime emplea como fuente el relato periodístico, ampliando su capacidad de explicar de forma comprensible historias comple-jas; en este género se identifican, también, elementos de un eje dramático básico que lo hace fácilmente trasladable de un géne-ro a otro, de un lenguaje a otro y, por tanto, de un formato a otro. Como principal conclusión se comprueba que, efectivamente, el true crime representa una continuidad con la tradición narrativa clásica sobre crímenes y sucesos

    The article examines the transmedia narrative in true crime, a narrative genre characterized by the investigation and recons-truction of real crimes and scandals, which has become one of the most successful on streaming platforms. It explores the path from the journalistic story to the audiovisual format to demons-trate the continuity that can be observed throughout the centu-ries. It uses the historical method, the documentary analysis of classical and contemporary narrative theories, and the analysis of a recent and paradigmatic case: the docuseries Lucia en la telaraña (RTVE Play, 2021). The results confirm that true crimeuses journalistic narrative as a source, expanding its capacity to explain complex stories; in this genre we also identify elements of a basic dramatic axis that makes it easily transferable from one genre to another, from one language to another and, therefore, from one format to another. The main conclusion is that true cri-me does, indeed, represent a continuity with the classical narra-tive tradition of crime and events
