    El artículo estudia la reescritura poética realizada por José Wata-nabe de Antígona de Sófocles, enfatizando dos dimensiones: las operaciones de absorción y transformación que conducen al tex-to final, y la particular lectura de esta Antígona desde el contexto de su publicación. En diálogo con conceptos como reescritura y dialogismo (Bajtín), memoria (Jelin) y violencia (Žižek), el análi-sis constata que los nuevos sentidos que esta Antígona incorpora plantean preguntas y demandas fundamentales en relación con el proceso de violencia y dictadura que se vivía en el Perú, así como con las razones históricas que contribuyeron a su desen-cadenamiento. A partir de esto, Antígona relieva implícitamente la necesidad de intervenir, desde la poesía y el arte, en la vida del país, e inicia, simbólicamente, una nueva etapa en el desarrollo de la poesía sobre el conflicto armado interno

    The article studies the poetic rewriting carried out by José Wata-nabe of Sophocles’ Antigone, emphasizing two dimensions: the operations of absorption and transformation that lead to the final text, and the particular reading of this Antigone from the context of its publication. In dialogue with concepts such as rewriting and dialogism (Bakhtin), memory (Jelin) and violence (Žižek), the analysis confirms that the new meanings that this Antigone incorporates proposes fundamental questions and demands in relation to the process of violence and dictatorship that was lived in Peru, as well as the historical reasons that contributed to its unleashing. From this, Antigone implicity highlights the need to intervene, from poetry and art, in the life of the country, and symbolically begins a new stage in the development of poetry on the internal armed conflict.
