A.M.G.D. (Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam) by Ramón Pérez de Ayala has been considered as an antijesuitic propaganda on the basis of his own experience. Nevertheless, what we have proposed in this short essay is to analize the ravages that grammar inflicts to the educative system of Jesus’s Company. Our intention is to show that the so renowned ideological subjectiveness of the novel is neutralized by virtue of a deliberate formal objectiveness, with which is organised in the text itself the necessity of changing the situation described.
