This article deals with three different types of linguistic structures: the argument structure, the narrative structure and the structure of «animal calls». Our aim is to propose that these structures are related to each other from a functional point of view, as they share the same frame of categorization: «the event». We have extended the concept of «transitive construction», core of the argument structure, to the structure of «human narration» and «animal calls». The Theory of Prtototypes has been used for this purpose
