Resumen de Percepción del Turismo Rural en el desarrollo local. Cuetzalan del Progreso, Puebla, México

  El turismo rural va más allá del número de turistas e ingresos que genera, en Cuetzalan del Progreso con población indígena, Totonacos y Nahuas, exhibe una exhuberante vegetación y fauna exótica, preservando su modo de vida con actividades productivas de café, celebraciones místicas y rituales con la danza de los quetzales y de los voladores que entremezclan tradiciones prehispánicas y cristianas. Exponen al turista sus sistemas, con expectativas de mejorar sus condiciones de vida. Se analiza el turismo desde la percepción de la población general, los lugareños involucrados en el turismo y desde el turista, con 96 entrevistas levantadas durante 2016 y 2018. Los tres grupos perciben beneficios económicos y mejoramiento en calidad de vida, (p>0.05), perciben incipientes pérdidas en vestimenta, idioma y tradiciones (p>0.05).

  Expresan diferentes percepciones en generación de empleo, desarrollo económico, en satisfacción por su Pueblo (p<0.05), y sobre el medio ambiente, valores y costumbres (p<0.05)

  Rural tourism goes beyond the number of tourists and income it generates, in Cuetzalan del Progreso with an indigenous population, Totonacos and Nahuas, exhibits exuberant vegetation and exotic fauna, preserving their way of life with coffee production activities, mystical celebrations and rituals with the dance of the quetzals and the flyers that mix pre‑Hispanic and Christian traditions. They expose their systems to the tourist, with expectations of improving their living conditions. Tourism is analyzed from the perception of the general population, the locals involved in tourism and from the tourist, with 96 interviews conducted during 2016 and 2018. The three groups perceive economic benefits and improvement in quality of life, (p>0.05). , perceive incipient losses in clothing, language and traditions (p>0.05). They express different perceptions regarding job creation, economic development, satisfaction with their People (p<0.05), and about the environment, values and customs (p<0.05)
