El ojo humano con su diversidad anatómica y fisiológica desarrolla una de las funciones más complejas y especiales de la naturaleza humana.
En este artículo ilustraremos el pasaje desde la teoría humoral a la teoría celular con la información a partir de datos históricos y la perspectiva epistemológica de Kuhn que permite al historiador de la ciencia buscar vínculos entre los términos de las teorías antiguas y las posteriores para determinar la incomensurabilidad, reinterpretándose el impulso que cobraron los conocimientos de las características mencionadas en el siglo XIX con la aparición de la histología y el uso del microscopio

The human eye with its anatomical and physiological diversity develops one of the most complex and special functions of human nature.
In this article we will illustrate the passage from the humoral theory to the cell theory with information from historical data and Kuhn's epistemological perspective that allows the historian of science to search for links between the terms of the old and later theories to determine the incommensurability, reinterpreting the impulse that the knowledge of the characteristics mentioned in the nineteenth century gained with the appearance of histology and the use of the microscope.
