    Los problemas fronterizos en el Sharq-Al-Ándalus se agravaron a medida que avanzaba el siglo XIII y las conquistas por castellanos y catalano-aragoneses se aproximaban a los límites establecidos en el Tratado de Cazola, con graves incumplimientos por ambos. Los propios acontecimientos condujeron a una entrevista en Almizra, próxima al emblemático castillo de Biar, entre Jaime I de Aragón y el infante castellano don Alfonso. El acuerdo ratificaba, en líneas generales, los límites de las conquistas de cada reino, estableciendo las bases para la reconciliación de las dos monarquías más importantes de la península.

    The border problems in the Sharq-Al-Andalus were aggravated as the thirteenth century progressed and the conquests by Castilians and Catalan-Aragonese approached the limits established in the Treaty of Cazola, with serious breaches by both. The aldices themselves led to an interview in Almizra, close to the emblematic Castillo de Biar, between Jaime I of Aragon and the Castilian infant Don Alfonso. The agreement ratified, in general, the limits of the conquests of each kingdom, establishing the basis for the reconciliation of the two most imports of the Peninsula.
