  Madrazo viajó por Europa Occidental y la mayor parte del territorio español en las décadas centrales del siglo XIX. El objetivo inicial de sus viajes fue el estudio de la arquitectura, trayendo consigo las novedades europeas. Su primer viaje internacional se traslada al año 1858. Permaneciendo fuera de España septiembre y octubre. Salió de Madrid cruzando las ciudades de Aranda del Duero, Miranda del Ebro y Vitoria-Gasteiz, atravesó: Irún, Bayona, Burdeos, Poitiers, Tours, Orleans y llegó a París. Después emprendió el viaje a Múnich, atravesando Estrasburgo y Stuttgart. Prosiguió su viaje a Dresde, pasando por Leizpig, y continuó su itinerario hasta Berlín y Bruselas. A continuación, regresó a París donde permaneció hasta el final de octubre, para volver a Madrid a primeros de noviembre.

  Madrazo traveled through Western Europe and most of the Spanish territory in the middle decades of the 19 th century. The initial objective of his travels was the study of architecture, bringing with him European innovations. His first international trip took place in 1858. He stayed outside of Spain in September and October. He left Madrid crossing the cities of Aranda del Duero, Miranda del Ebro and Vitoria-Gasteiz, crossed: Irun, Bayonne, Bordeaux, Pitiers, Tours, Orleans and arrived in Paris. Afterwards he undertook the trip to Munich, passing through Strasbourg and Stuttgart. He continued his journey to Dresden, passing through Leipzig, and continued his itinerary to Berlin and Brussels. He then returned to Paris where he stayed until the end of October, to return to Madrid in early November.
