  • Resumen
    • Tolerance at the end of the ancient regime. First notes on the evolution of the privileges in favor of the jewish communities in the xviii century (Parma, Modena, Genoa) · The essay examines the evolution of the privileges granted to Jewish communities in the Italian states during the eighteenth century. Considering the cases of Modena, Parma and Genoa, the study shows a clear improvement and a stabilization of the Jews’ legal status, both as regards religious freedom and civil rights. The result is not so far from the better-known laws of that Age, in particular the edicts of Emperor Joseph II of Habsburg.
