The paper, starting with an analysis of the recent French Church inquiry into sexual abuse committed against minors and vulnerable persons, analyzes developments in canonical criminal law on the subject. Attention is then turned to the need to ensure the presumption of innocence of these accused of pedocriminal conducts and the need for the use of the instrument of trial to prosecute such conducts.
