Resumen de Español en Serbia: análisis demolingüístico de la presencia del español en el sistema educativo formal de Serbia

Como parte del proyecto El español en Europa, en el periodo 2020-2022 se ha realizado una investigación cuyo objetivo es el análisis demolingüístico de la lengua española en Serbia. En un intento de identificar a todos los usuarios del idioma español, uno de los ámbitos de la investigación se ha referido al sistema educativo que justamente representa el foco de nuestro análisis. Exploramos la presencia del español en el sistema educativo serbio en los tres niveles de la educación formal – primario, secundario y universitario. A base de los datos cuantitativos longitudinales que se refieren al número de los estudiantes del español en los tres niveles de la educación formal, consideramos la presencia del español en comparación con otras lenguas extranjeras presentes en nuestro sistema educativo. De ahí intentamos ofrecer explicación por las fluctuaciones observadas en la presencia del español tomando en cuenta el contexto educativo y sociocultural.

As a part of Spanish in Europe project, an investigation was carried out in the period 2020-2022 with the objective to complete the demolinguistic analysis of the Spanish language in Serbia. In an attempt to identify all users of the Spanish language, one of the areas of research refers to the educational system, which is the focus of our analysis. We explore the presence of Spanish language in the Serbian educational system at the three levels of formal education – primary, secondary and university education. Based on the longitudinal quantitative data that refer to the number of students of Spanish in the three levels of formal education, we consider the presence of Spanish in comparison with other foreign languages of our educational system. From there, we offer an explanation for the fluctuations observed in the presence of Spanish, taking into account the educational and sociocultural context.
