  • Resumen
    • The aim of this study is to review the investigations related to the Responsibility factor from the Big Five model between 2010 and 2020, in order to identify essential constructs that define this factor and design future empirical research. Method: A bibliographic search of articles was carried out in Scopus and Pscycarticles, with the search terms Responsibility, Conscientiousness and Big Five in abstract and / or keywords. Results: 78 articles met the exclusion and inclusion criteria. The reviewed investigations refer to topics such as: concept and evolution of Responsibility throughout the Life Cycle; relationships with work and school performance; its degree of affectation by biological and socio-cultural variables; relationships with decision making, preferences, social attitudes and political participation. Conclusions: Responsibility can be understood as an personality factor from two complementary perspectives (Power and Duty); both are specified in two constructs (Achievement and Order).
