El objetivo del presente artículo es presentar el desarrollo de la investigación del caso: Cine Tauro: una isla lujuriosa en el caos limeño. Sujetos y valores patrimoniales en torno al objeto moderno. Esta investigación tiene por objetivo principal el entender las razones por las cuales el cine Tauro, un proyecto representante de la modernidad de la arquitectura peruana de inicios de la década de 1960, quedó aislado, decadente y agonizante en el oficialmente llamado ambiente urbano monumental del siglo XX del Cercado de Lima.

The objective of this article is to present the development of the investigation of the case: “Cine Tauro: a lustful island in the chaos of Lima. Subjects and heritage values around the modern object”. The main objective of this research is to understand the reasons why the Taurus cinema, a representative project of the modernity of Peruvian architecture of the early 1960s, remained isolated, decadent and dying in the officially called monumental urban environment of the 20th century of the Fence of Lima.
