    El papel que desarrolla la nobleza en los juegos populares ha sido puesto en relieve por numerosos investigadores. La fiesta será una de las manifestaciones más representativas del poder. El ceremonial de su desarrollo mostrará la estratificación de la sociedad de cada época. Así pues, la tauromaquia se establecerá como un medio indicativo de la relación entre autoridad y jerarquía social. Analizar el papel que el estamento nobiliario ha tenido en la definición del toreo a lo largo de su historia, así como las razones que le han llevado a querer participar en este proceso, puede esclarecer hasta qué punto esta clase social ha intervenido en la definición del toreo moderno, para lo cual abordaremos el caso de Córdoba
