Resumen de Caso clínico: trombectomía en paciente con isquemia aguda de miembro inferior

Paciente de 65 años que presenta una isquemia aguda de miembro inferior. Tras realizar una angiotomografía de la arteria femoral, se confirma la presencia de una oclusión trombótica en la arteria femoral superficial. Se procede a realizar una trombectomía de urgencia, utilizando catéteres de Fogarty y un dispositivo de aspiración. La intervención logra retirar el trombo y se confirma la reaparición de pulsos en la pierna derecha. Tras un período de recuperación y tratamiento anticoagulante, el paciente presenta una evolución favorable y es dado de alta con seguimiento ambulatorio1.

A 65-year-old patient presented with acute ischemia of the lower limb. After performing an angiotomography of the femoral artery, the presence of a thrombotic occlusion in the superficial femoral artery was confirmed. An emergency thrombectomy was performed, using Fogarty catheters and an aspiration device. The intervention succeeded in removing the thrombus and the reappearance of pulses in the right leg was confirmed. After a period of recovery and anticoagulant treatment, the patient progressed favorably and was discharged with outpatient follow-up1.
