Resumen de Proyecto acuarela: Creatividad en la enseñanza de la literatura infantil en lengua inglesa

El propósito de este artículo es presentar el Proyecto Acuarela llevado a cabo en la Facultad de Educación de Ávila de la Universidad de Salamanca en el marco de la asignatura Literature and Literacy cursada por los alumnos de cuarto de la Mención de Inglés. En este proyecto se utiliza una metodología comuni-cativa, activa, participativa en la que se implica a los alumnos y donde el objetivo principal es fomentar la creatividad a través de diferentes actividades y talleres y diversas dinámicas de grupo tales como el trabajo individual, por parejas o en grupos pequeños donde se desarrollan las diferentes inteligencias. Los alumnos leen obras de literatura infantil, desde cuentos de hadas, libros ilustrados o textos de no ficción adaptados que deben representar de diferentes maneras, bien narrando la historia y acompañándola con música, escenificando y variando alguna de las escenas del libro o interpretando el cuento completo cambiando el final. En definitiva, se trata de que los alumnos expresen su creatividad de diferentes maneras partiendo de los libros. Supone una experiencia muy satisfactoria porque el alumno se siente responsable de su propio aprendizaje y tiene libertad para interpretar la obra literaria y para crear su propio objeto artístico.

The purpose of this article is to present the Watercolour Project carried out in the Faculty of Education of Ávila in the University of Salamanca in the frame of the subject Literature and Literacy studied by the students of the fourth year of the English Mención. In this project it is used a communicative, active and partici-pative methodology where students are engaged and where the main aim is to promote creativity through different activities and workshops and different group dynamics such as individual work, pair work or small groups where different intelligences are developed. Students read chidren ́s literature works, from fairy tales, illustrated books or non-fiction adapted texts which have to be acted in different ways, either narrating the story and supporting it with music, performing and changing some scenes from the book or acting the whole tale changing the end. In conclusion, it is sought that students express their creativity in several ways starting from the books. It is a really satisfactory experience because the student feels responsible of his own learning and is free to interpret the literary work and free to create his own artistic object.
