Mi investigación se basó en la trayectoria del contrabajista Ludwig Streicher, las características de su método, la implantación de este en la comunidad de intérpretes y el resultado de su técnica. Además, se propuso una comparativa entre la aplicación del método Simandl y el de Streicher. Este músico y profesor aportó en su método pedagógico un manejo del arco y una posición de la mano izquierda propias. Su trabajo My way of Playing the double bass es el resultado de su experimentación.

My research was based on the career of the double bass player Ludwig Streicher, the characteristics of his method, its implementation in the community of performers and the results of his technique.
Furthermore, a comparison between the application of the Simandl method and Streicher's method was proposed. This musician and teacher contributed his own bow handling and left-hand position to his pedagogical method. His work My way of Playing the double bass is the result of his experimentation.
