Resumen de El «mito de Sagunto» en la historiografía española del siglo XIX

Durante el siglo XIX tienen lugar una serie de renovaciones en el discurso histórico. En distintos textos historiográficos vemos aparecer lo que denominamos «mito de Sagunto» como un elemento básico del discurso nacionalista, identitario. Analizamos en nuestra comunicación cómo este es recogido por la historiografía romántica, la positivista, la regionalista hasta llegar a la nueva visión crítica del historiador alicantino Rafael Altamira.

During the 19th century, a series of renovations took place in the historical discourse. In different historiographical texts we see the appearance of what we call the “Sagunto myth” as a basic element of the nationalist, identitarian discourse. We analyze in our communication how this is collected by the romantic historiography, the positivist, the regionalist until reaching the new critical vision of the Alicante historian Rafael Altamira.
