Resumen de Síndrome de Burnout en personal de enfermería y calidad de atención

  Introducción: el Síndrome de Burnout es una enfermedad psicosomática que se ve reflejada en todos los ámbitos laborales, así mismo, es muy frecuente en el personal de enfermería, debido a la gran demanda de actividades. Objetivo: Determinar la influencia del Síndrome de Burnout en la calidad de atención brindada por el personal de enfermería. Materiales y métodos: Estudio correlacional, cuantitativo y transversal, constituido por 50 profesionales de enfermería y 80 pacientes atendidos en Hospital General Monte Sinaí, entre noviembre 2022 y febrero 2023. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos, el inventario de Burnout de Maslach (MBI) y SERVQUAL. Los datos se almacenaron en la hoja de Excel, con el programa SPSS se realizó tablas de contingencia y correlaciones entre variables, además el Software JASP en su versión 0. 16. 4 se utilizó para el diseño del análisis descriptivo. Resultados: el 94 % de los profesionales de enfermería presentan un nivel de agotamiento emocional alto, 98% posee un nivel de despersonalización alto, y el 92% presenta un nivel medio de no realización personal. El 51.3% de los pacientes percibe pocas veces que el personal de enfermería lo saluda cordialmente durante su atención, 67.5% de los pacientes percibe que a veces el personal de enfermería le brinda el tiempo necesario para conversar y la relación entre el Efecto Burnout y SERVQUAL es baja. Conclusión: Existe una alta prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en los profesionales de enfermería. La calidad técnica fue medianamente favorable y la calidad humana fue percibida como medianamente favorable.

  Introduction: Burnout Syndrome is a psychosomatic disease that is reflected in all work environments, likewise, it is very frequent in nursing staff, due to the great demand for activities. Objective: To determine the influence of Burnout Syndrome on the quality of care provided by nursing staff. Materials and methods: correlational, quantitative, and cross-sectional study, made up of 50 nursing professionals and 80 patients treated at the Mount Sinai General Hospital, between November 2022 and February 2023. Two instruments were applied, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and SERVQUAL. The data was stored in the Excel sheet, with the SPSS program contingency tables and correlations between variables were made, in addition the JASP Software in its version 0.16.4 was used for the design of the descriptive analysis. Results: 94% of nursing professionals present a high level of emotional exhaustion, 98% have a high level of depersonalization, and 92% present a medium level of non-personal fulfillment. 51.3% of the patients rarely perceive that the nursing staff greets them cordially during their care, 67.5% of the patients perceive that sometimes the nursing staff gives them the necessary time to talk and the relationship between the Burnout Effect and SERVQUAL it is low. Conclusion: There is a high prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in nursing professionals. The technical quality was moderately favorable and the human quality was perceived as moderately favorable.
