  Este se remonta a la Prehistoria y concluye con el cierre de las minas de Leizarán. Centrado en el hierro del valle, en la ubicación de las diferentes explotaciones mineras, en la forma y modo de vida sus habitantes. Además estudiamos el origen del tren minero de Plazaola, del Trentxiki. En el trabajo las estructuras mineras más importantes han sido localizadas, y uno de nuestros objetivos, dar a conocer el modo de vida de los mineros, creemos que cumplido.

  Ikerketa hau Historiaurrean hasi eta Leitzaran bailarako meategiko ustiaketaren amaierarekin bukatzen da. Alde batetik, bailararen burdinaren historian oinarrituta dago, meategietako ustiaketa ezberdinak kokatu eta bestalde, bailarako biztanleen bizimodua aztertu dugu. Era berean, meategietako Plazaolako trenaren sorrera, Trentxikiarena hain zuzen ere, azulduko dugu. Lan honen barruan, meategi eremutako egitura garruntzitsu guztiak ere kokatu ditugu, eta helburu nagusietako bat, meatzariak nola bizi izan ziren saituko gara.

  This investigation dates back to prehistory and concludes with the closing down of the mining exploitation of Leizaran´s valley. On the one hand, this investigation is based in the history of iron in the valley, it localizes the different exploitation and examines the way of life of people who lived there. On the other, we can see how was the origin of Plazaola´s mining train, the train called Trentxiki. We also have situated the most important mining structures, and we have get one of our most significant aims: to show the readers how lived the miners.
