    En este artículo se pretende realizar un estudio sobre las transformaciones urbanas que se han producido en la localidad guipuzcoana de Andoain desde mediados del siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. De hecho, el interés del mismo reside, sobre todo, en el hecho de estar hablando de una villa eminentemente industrial y en la que el crecimiento demográfico ha constituido un factor determinante en esta historia urbana de la segunda mitad del siglo XX: Pero además de tratar el tema desde una perspectiva fundamentalmente histórica, se ha querido también hacer un texto útil tanto para los ciudadanos como para la Administración, analizando los distintos instrumentos de planeamiento urbanístico de estas décadas.

    Lan honetan Gipuzkoako Andoain hirian XIX. mendetik gaur egun arte hiribihurketei buruzko ikerketa saiatu da. Ikerketa interesgarria da, Andoain hiri industriala batez ere delako eta hazkunde demografikoa faktore determinatzaile izan da XX. mendeko bigarren erdiko hiri-historian. Gainera ikerketa honetan, hahiz eta ikuspuntu historikoa izan, alde berean testu baliagarria nahi dugu bai hirritarrentzat, bai Administrazioarentzat, hamarkada hauetako hiri-plangintza ezberdinak ikusten.

    In this article we try to study the urban transformations in the town of Andoain (Gipuzkoa) from the mid-nineteenth century until the present. In fact, the interest of this paper is that we speak about an industrial town, where the demographic growth was a determining factor in the urban history of the second half of the XXth Century. But in addition to study this subject with a basic historical perspective, we want also to write a useful text for the citizens and for the Administration, studying the differents urban plans in the these decades.
