La presente investigación está dirigida a establecer semejanzas y diferencias entre el Trabajo Social y la Psicología como binomio cooperativo en las relaciones humanas, tomando en cuenta que las acciones profesionales y las habilidades de estas dos carreras, en ocasiones son similares y en algunos escenarios, se presta a confusión, lo cual ha llevado a determinar dónde están los límites de cada una y cuáles metodologías aplican en cuanto a la intervención que desarrollan a sus clientes/pacientes en la búsqueda de alternativas de solución a sus problemas y conflictos. El hilo conductual del estudio se desarrolló bajo un enfoque positivista, con una investigación documental, descriptiva para la cual, se hizo una revisión bibliográfica y se determinaron algunos criterios de comparación, teniendo como resultado que ambas profesiones se encuentran inmersas en el área de las Ciencias Sociales, dirigidas a atender y orientar a las personas de manera individual, grupal y comunitaria, destacando que cada una de ellas tiene sus especificaciones que deben ser respetadas en el ámbito laboral para propiciar procesos y resultados más efectivos que coadyuven al bienestar de los seres humanos, así como también que el Trabajo Social hace énfasis en buscar soluciones prácticas conjuntamente con los actores sociales involucrados, ante los problemas que les afectan, como un agente de cambio social y el psicólogo trata los procesos mentales, cognitivos de la conducta humana.
This research is aimed at establishing similarities and differences between Social Work and Psychology as a cooperative binomial in human relationships, taking into account that the professional actions and skills of these two careers are sometimes similar and in some scenarios, they are It leads to confusion, which has led to determine where the limits of each one are and which methodologies they apply in terms of the intervention they develop to their clients / patients in the search for alternative solutions to their problems and conflicts. The behavioral thread of the study was developed under a positivist approach, with a descriptive documentary research for which a bibliographic review was made and some comparison criteria were determined, having as a result that both professions are immersed in the area of Sciences Social, aimed at serving and guiding people individually, in groups and in the community, highlighting that each of them has its specifications that must be respected in the workplace to promote more effective processes and results that contribute to the well-being of humans. How Social Work Emphasizes in seeking practical solutions together with the social actors involved, in the face of the problems that affect them, as an agent of social change and the psychologist treats the mental and cognitive processes of human behavior.
