    El propósito general de esta investigación cualitativa con diseño etnográfico, es mostrar, a partir de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), los desafíos que enfrenta Playa Vicente, Oaxaca, comunidad zapoteca de pescadores. De manera específica, se pretende explicar el estado que presentan los ODS y sus metas más significativas para esta experiencia en particular, además de conocer la percepción de la población respecto a sus fortalezas y problemas más importantes. Se encontró que a pesar de que falta mucho por hacer, si el estimable capital humano, social y natural disponible se emplea acertadamente, el futuro puede ser promisorio.

    The general purpose of this qualitative research with ethnographic design is to show, based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the challenges faced by Playa Vicente, Oaxaca, a zapotec fishing community. Specifically, the aim is to explain the status of the SDGs and their most significant goals for this particular experience, as well as to know the perception of the population regarding its strengths and most important problems. It was found that although much remains to be done, if the considerable human, social and natural capital available is used wisely, the future may be promising.
