  Caso clínico que trata de un paciente oncológico. Se valoran las necesidades de Virginia Henderson y se observa como el reciente diagnóstico de cáncer ha cambiado la vida del paciente. Se observa que está en un periodo depresivo de la enfermedad y que el descuido de algunas necesidades como la nutrición, eliminación, respiración y sentimiento de realización se están viendo afectadas unas más que otras. Por eso se plantea un plan al alta junto a su enfermera de atención primaria para frenar y encauzar las actividades de la vida diaria que le ayudarán a estar mejor.
