Trazamos un estado de la cuestión de las diferentes opiniones acerca del autor de la tabla La riña de la Galería Pallavicini de Roma. Aportamos la noticia de que se encontraba en el inventario real del Alcázar de Madrid de 1636 junto con su pareja en dicha colección Pallavicini, Soldados jugando a los dados sobre un tambor, lo que confirma que son las mismas “bambochadas” atribuidas a Velázquez que eran propiedad de Lorenzo Onofrio Colonna en 1686. Nuestro estudio afianza la autoría de Velázquez para la primera tabla y propone la de su oficial, Ercole Bartolussi, para la segunda con diseño del maestro.

We analyze the different views expressed in the past regarding the authorship of the painting The Fight in the Pallavicini Gallery in Rome. We also reveal that it was listed together in the royal inventory of the Alcázar of Madrid in 1636 together with its pair in the Pallavicini Collection, Soldiers playing dices. This confirms that they are the same bambocciate attributed to Velázquez which belonged to Lorenzo Onofrio Colonna in 1686. Our study reinforces Velazquez’s authorship of the first painting and attributes the second one to his journeyman Ercole Bartolussi, on a design by the master.
