    Este breve ensayo pretende presentar, incluso rescatar, dos magníficos estudios del filósofo del Derecho español Felipe González Vicén sobre el concepto y método del Derecho en el pensamiento jurídico de Rudolf von Jhering y Otto von Gierke, dos de los más egregios juristas alemanes de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. A lo largo de esta exposición, por tanto, se irá perfilando someramente el pensamiento de dichos juristas, siguiendo para ello, fundamentalmente, ambos estudios de González Vicén. El objeto principal del presente trabajo es mostrar la influencia que estos dos juristas han tenido en el pensamiento jurídico de González Vicén, sobre todo, en el desarrollo de sus ideas acerca del concepto y método del Derecho, así como en las relaciones entre este y el orden autónomo de la ética.

    This brief essay aims to present, and even rescue, two magnificent studies by the Spanish legal philosopher Felipe González Vicén on the concept and method of Law in the legal thought of Rudolf von Jhering and Otto von Gierke, two of the most eminent German jurists of the second half of the 19th century. Throughout this exposition, therefore, the thought of these jurists will be briefly outlined, primarily following González Vicén’s studies. The main objective of this work is to show the influence that these two jurists have had on González Vicén’s legal thinking, particularly in the development of his ideas about the concept and method of Law, as well as in the relationships between Law and the autonomous realm of ethics.
