Resumen de Sistema diseñado en la U.L.A. para la construcción y mantenimiento de un catalogo sismológico

María Morandi, José Silva

  • The Laboratory of Geophysics of the University of Los Andes recently developed an integrated system for the acquisition, organization and processing of the data registered by a local seismic network. The system, called OSULA, operates over a PC using WINDOWS FOR WORK GROUPS and also allows to visualize the real time acquisition data if the PC is conected in a computer net. The OSULA allows the following functions: visualization of seismograms, manipulation of seismotecs, lecture of seismological parameters, hipocenter determination, cartographic representation of the epicenters and management of seismological catalogs. All the programs that realize this functions are integrated and work with a friendly interfaz offering to the user the maximum of efficiency and security. With the OSULA system the user can create a seismological catalog starting from the seismic records in IASPEI format (WVm or SUDS). OSULA also allows the event searching specifying space and temporal windows.
