Interculturalitat i treball social: noves realitats, nous reptes

    The article proposes the new challenges of Social Work with the important migratory movements in our country during the last years. The social workers find themselves confronted with new, socially very complex situations, with new inequalities, with social movements in interaction and in the process of change and therefore the need of new reflection, of a redefinition of their intervention models. Because of the new challenges a better preparation of the professionals in the social area is needed to be able to face the processes that generate environment the insertion and the integration of the population of newcomers in its territory. The theories of complexity, of intercultural relation and communication bring us elements to improving understanding our societies and can help us with this network, more transversal, more communitary, in relation to the processes of our society already considered as “multicultural” towards “interculturality”.

    L’article planteja els nous reptes del treball social amb els importants moviments migratoris que s’han produït al nostre país en els últims anys. Els treballadors socials es troben, doncs, confrontats a noves situacions socials molt complexes, a noves desigualtats, a forces socials en interacció i canvi i per tant amb la necessitat d’una nova reflexió, d’una redefinició dels seus models d’intervenció. Aquests nous reptes necessiten una millor preparació dels professionals socials per tal de poder fer front als processos que es generen al voltant de la inserció i la integració de la població nouvinguda en el territori. Les teories de la complexitat, de la relació i de la comunicació intercultural ens aporten elements per comprendre millor les nostres societats i poden ajudar-nos a aquest treball en xarxa, més transversal, més comunitari, en relació amb els processos de la nostra societat considerada ja “multicultural” vers la “interculturalitat”.
