La justicia es el valor principal, que el derecho trata de realizar mediante sus distintas expresiones. El significado de justicia cambia a través del tiempo, los cambios sociales y de las áreas geográficas. Para unos filósofos, la justicia era una de las notas de la divinidad; para otros, una virtud universal; y para algunos, ciencia o sabiduría, armonía, etc. Así, para Platón, la justicia es una característica de la ciudad y de cada hombre; para Aristóteles, una virtud perfecta; para San Agustín, el amor; para Santo Tomás, modo de regulación fundamental de las relaciones humanas. Asimismo, muchos filósofos han elaborado diferentes teorías sobre la justicia.
El presente artículo tiene por objetivo interiorizar en el lector acucioso valores morales para el resurgimiento de nuestra sociedad en este milenio de gran injusticia social.

Justice is the main value, which the law tries to achieve through its different expressions. The meaning of justice changes through time, social changes and geographical areas. For some philosophers, justice was one of the notes of divinity; for others, a universal virtue; and for some, science or wisdom, harmony, etc. Thus, for Plato, justice is a characteristic of the city and of each man; for Aristotle, a perfect virtue; for Saint Augustine, love; for Santo Tomás, a fundamental mode of regulation of human relations. Also, many philosophers have developed different theories about justice.
The objective of this article is to internalize in the diligent reader moral values for the resurgence of our society in this millennium of great social injustice.
