A intertextualidade é um conceito que está presente nos estudos linguísticos desde Kristeva (1969). Assim, a noção de que os textos podem acontecer em intertextos é pacífica na área de linguística textual (Koch &Elias2010; entre outros). É inegável também que o desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias no século XXI, especialmente as do mundo digital, tem possibilitado o surgimento de novos gêneros textuais, como os memes(Marcuschi2008), que, por sua vez, tendem a fazer uso de diversos modos de linguagem, nos termos de Kress e Van Leeuwen (2001). O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar a Intertextualidade como um fenômeno multimodal cuja abordagem em ambientes pedagógicos é uma ferramenta de temas geradores (Freire2014 [1968]).

Intertextuality is a concept used on the linguistic studies since Kristeva (1969) and the notion that the texts can happen in intertexts is accepted in the linguistics area (Koch &Elias2010;and others). It is also possible to highlight that the development of new digital technologies in the twenty-first century has propitiated the creation of new textual genres, such as memes (Marcuschi2008), which, according to Kress and Van Leeuwen (2001), use different modes of language. The purpose of this article is to present the intertextuality process as a multimodal phenomenon in pedagogical environments as a tool of generating themes (Freire2014 [1968]).
