Resumen de Relecturas filosóficas del suicidio en diálogo con El Mito de Sísifo de Albert Camus

  El suicidio es un fenómeno existencial que pone al límite la voluntad humana de extinción del ser, razón por la cual Albert Camus (1985) lo definió en su momento como el único problema filosófico realmente importante. Mediante una metodología fenomenológica y hermenéutica, que describe subjetividades y fenómenos y, al mismo tiempo, reconstruye sus significados, el objetivo de la presente investigación fue reinterpretar filosóficamente el fenómeno suicidio, en diálogo con El Mito de Sísifo de Albert Camus. Además, se efectuó una entrevista en profundidad a una persona depresiva con ideación suicida, como condición de posibilidad para comprender sus inquietudes y motivaciones sobre el tema.

  Se concluye que la depresión (mayor) es, en buena medida la causa primaria del suicidio en las sociedades modernas y, por su complejidad intrínseca y multifactorial demanda de un abordaje interdisciplinario que afirme el valor de la vida, más allá de las problemáticas ontológicas propias del ser y del hacer de la persona humana en su cotidianidad.

  Suicide is an existential phenomenon that pushes the human will of extinction of the self to the limit, which is why Albert Camus (1985) defined it at the time as the only really important philosophical problem. By means of a phenomenological and hermeneutic methodology, which describes subjectivities and phenomena and, at the same time, reconstructs their meanings, the objective of the present research was to philosophically reinterpret the phenomenon of suicide, in dialogue with Albert Camus' Myth of Sisyphus. In addition, an in-depth interview was conducted with a depressive person with suicidal ideation, as a condition of possibility to understand their concerns and motivations on the subject. It is concluded that (major) depression is, to a large extent, the primary cause of suicide in modern societies and, due to its intrinsic and multifactorial complexity, it demands an interdisciplinary approach that affirms the value of life, beyond the ontological problems of being and doing of the human person in his or her daily life.
