Resumen de Juventud y suicidio en la región fronteriza norte de México: un estudio de caso desde la Teoría Ecológica de Bronfenbrenner

  La conducta suicida implica acciones que incluyen la ideación suicida, la planeación suicida, la tentativa de suicidio y el suicidio. En México, el estado con mayor prevalencia de suicidio es Chihuahua. Juárez es uno de los municipios más afectados en ese estado siendo los jóvenes la población mayormente afectada. Así, surge la necesidad de comprender este fenómeno en este contexto y población particulares. El estudio parte de un análisis hemerográfico descriptivo de la conducta suicida en Juárez para luego entrevistar a profundidad a una persona que ha presentado dicha conducta a lo largo de su vida. Los resultados de la entrevista se analizan y categorizan desde la Teoría Ecológica del Desarrollo Humano de Bronfenbrenner. Los resultados nos arrojan una mirada profunda de cómo el fenómeno de la conducta suicida se gesta y evoluciona influida por e influyendo en los diversos niveles en los que el sujeto se desenvuelve. Esto nos indica la necesidad de comprender el fenómeno de la conducta suicida desde una mirada interpretativa y profunda desde la experiencia de quienes la viven.

  Suicidal behavior involves actions including suicidal ideation, suicidal planning, suicide attempt, and suicide. In Mexico, the state with the highest prevalence of suicide is Chihuahua. Juárez is one of the most affected municipalities in that state, with young people being the most affected population. Thus, the need arises to understand this phenomenon in this particular context and population. The study is based on a descriptive hemerographic analysis of suicidal behavior in Juárez to then conduct an in-depth interview with a person who has presented such behavior throughout his life. The results of the interview are analyzed and categorized from Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory of Human Development. The results give us a deep look at how the phenomenon of suicidal behavior develops and evolves influenced by and influencing the various levels in which the subject operates. This indicates the need to understand the phenomenon of suicidal behavior from an interpretive and profound perspective from the experience of those who experience it.
