    En este artículo me gustaría ofrecer un análisis sobre el episodio de la revelación de Adler tomando como marco de referencia los debates teológicos de la época, la reacción de las autoridades eclesiásticas frente al incidente y el diagnóstico que el propio Kierkegaard propuso al respecto. Dicho análisis nos permitirá observar las dificultades que implica la aparición de una revelación contemporánea en el contexto religioso de la modernidad, especialmente después de la Ilustración, y, de forma más específica, frente a una ortodoxia racionalista como la defendida por la Iglesia de Dinamarca en el siglo XIX.

    In this article I would like to offer an analysis of Adler’s revelation, taking as reference the theological debates of the time, the reaction of the ecclesiastical authorities to the incident and the diagnosis that Kierkegaard himself proposed in this regard. Such an analysis will allow us to observe the difficulties involved in the appearance of a contemporary revelation in the religious context of modernity, especially after the Enlightenment, and, more specifically, in the face of a rationalist orthodoxy such as that championed by the Danish Church in the 19th century.
