Il Golfo dei Poeti: un patrimonio da valorizzare

    Historically, Italy has devoted less attention and re-sources to literary heritage than to other types of heritage, probably because at an institutional level the concept of intangible heritage has long been lin-ked to that of tangible heritage, as established by Cultural Heritage and Landscape’s Code. Among the safeguard’s initiatives of the literary heritage, there is the establishment of literary parks and cul-tural parks. Amid the latter there is the Gulf of Po-ets’ cultural park, essentially inactive nowadays. Li-terary tourism in the Gulf of Poets began to deve-lop towards the end of the 19th century and during the 20th century commemorative plaques were af-fixed to remember the poets and writers who stayed in the gulf. Despite the literary importance of the Gulf of Poets, the publications concerning it are li-mited to a few authors or areas, just as the enhance-ment interventions are disorganized. In recent ye-ars, municipalities and local associations have orga-nized exhibitions, theatrical performances, literary itineraries and land storytelling projects aimed at promoting the literary heritage of the Gulf of Poets. What is lacking, however, is a thick knowledge of the existing heritage, spread over a large territory, and above all a network between the stakeholders. Precisely for this reason, the current enhancement activities, that are sporadic and fragmented, fail to highlight the potentiality of the literary heritage of the Gulf of Poets

    Storicamente l’Italia ha dedicato meno attenzioni e risorse al patrimonio letterario rispetto, ad altre tipologie di patrimonio, probabilmente perché a livello istituzionale il concetto di bene immateriale è stato a lungo legato a quello di bene materiale, come stabilito dal Codice dei Beni Culturali e del Paesaggio. Tra le iniziative di tutela del patrimonio letterario si segnala l’istituzione dei parchi letterari e dei parchi culturali. Tra questi ultimi vi è il Parco culturale Golfo dei Poeti, oggi sostanzialmente inattivo. Il turismo letterario nel Golfo dei Poeti iniziò a svilupparsi già verso la fine dell’Ottocento e nel corso del Novecento si iniziarono ad apporre targhe e lapidi commemorative dei poeti e degli scrittori che soggiornarono nel golfo. Nonostante l’importanza letteraria del Golfo dei Poeti, le pubblicazioni che lo riguardano sono parziali e limitate spesso ad alcuni autori o località, così come sono disorganici gli interventi di patrimonializzazione. Negli ultimi anni sono stati gli enti e le associazioni locali ad organizzare esposizioni, rappresentazioni teatrali, escursioni letterarie e progetti di land storytelling volti a far conoscere e promuovere il patrimonio letterario del Golfo dei Poeti. Ciò che manca, tuttavia, è una conoscenza capillare del patrimonio esistente, diffuso in un territorio ampio, e soprattutto una rete tra gli stakeholder. Proprio per questo motivo, attualmente le attività di valorizzazione, sporadiche e frammentate, non riescono a mettere in luce il potenziale del patrimonio letterario del Golfo dei Poeti.
