Resumen de Humor en los tiempos de guerra: el lenguaje de los memes antimilitaristas en las redes sociales durante el conflicto bélico actual

La grieta entre los grupos sociales rusos pro y antiputinistas a partir del día 24 de febrero de 2022 no solamente se volvió más evidente, sino que más bien se convirtió en un abismo. Muchos usuarios de las redes sociales, tales como Instagram y Twitter en primer lugar, que antes de la guerra no solían manifestar su afiliación política, en estas circunstancias trágicas arrancaron un bombardeo cruzado de mensajes bien claros. Después de los primeros días de un shock total, las comunidades que se dedicaban a las publicaciones irónicas y humorísticas se encontraron frente a un reto completamente nuevo: el de hacer a su público reír en la época del total dominio del miedo, el estupor, las lágrimas, los ataques de pánico y el exilio masivo. Este estudio consiste en analizar las cuentas rusas de Instagram como, ´´"La Edad Media sufriente" y ´"El bigote de Peskov", cuya especialidad es la creación de memes, con el fin de ver qué tipo de ironía, lenguaje y tramas utilizan para cumplir con esta misión imposible. En este caso nos interesan no solamente los aspectos verbales, sino también la semiótica y el lenguaje visual de dichos memes, ya que cada una de estas páginas tiene un contenido de una estética muy particular. Otra cuestión que ha de ser estudiada en este contexto es el fenómeno de los memes orientados a la misma figura de Putin, si consideramos el año de la guerra y poco antes. Por ejemplo, su famoso encuentro con Emmanuel Macron en Moscú dos semanas antes de la invasión rusa, que produjo un sinfín de memes y se hizo viral.

The rift between Russian pro and anti-Putinist social groups after February 24, 2022, not only became more evident, but rather became an abyss. Many users of social media, such as Instagram and Twitter in the first place, who before the invasion did not manifest their affiliation, in these tragic circumstances started a political cross-bombardment. After the first days of total shock, the internet communities dedicated to ironic and humorous content found themselves facing a completely new challenge: that of making their audience laugh in the age of total dominance of fear and panic. This study consists of analyzing Russian Instagram accounts such as The Medieval Suffering and Peskov’s Mustache, whose specialty is the creation of memes, in order to see what kind of irony, language tools and discourses they chose in order to achieve the goal. In this case, we are interested not only in the verbal aspects, but also in the semiotics and visual language of these memes since each of these pages has a very particular aesthetic focus. Another issue that must be studied in this context is the phenomenon of memes targeting the same figure as Putin during the conflict and shortly before: for example, his famous meeting with Emmanuel Macron in Moscow two weeks before the Russian invasion, which produced endless memes and went viral.
