Resumen de Veteranos y comuneros: la memoria histórica del Paraguay en la retina del anarquismo de las primeras décadas del siglo XX

Este artículo se propone analizar una serie de relatos y representaciones del pasado desarrollados por el anarquismo paraguayo en las primeras décadas del siglo XX que se contrapusieron abiertamente a las narrativas oficiales del período. Se parte de la hipótesis de que estos relatos o ejercicios de memoria se realizaron con el objetivo de emancipar a las clases subalternas de los discursos de la élite, siempre funcionales a los intereses dominantes en el país y a la defensa del statu quo, y proponer representaciones alternativas en donde se buscó devolver al pueblo trabajador, obrero o campesino, su autonomía, su “orgullo” y su carácter de “sujeto político” independiente, libre, capaz de asumir por su cuenta la decisión sobre su propio destino.

The purpose of this article is to analyze a series of narratives and representations from the past developed by Paraguayan anarchism in the first decades of the twentieth century, that openly contradicted the official narratives of the period. It is based on the hypothesis that these narratives or memory exercises were carried out with the aim of emancipating subaltern classes from the discourses of the elite, always functional to the dominant interests in the country and on behalf of the status quo. Also, to propose alternative representations in order to give back autonomy to the working people, worker, or peasant. As well as their "pride" to evolve as an independent "political subject", free and capable of autonomously deciding their own destiny.
