Dictadura Stronista y su construcción imaginaria en Paraguay (1960-1980)

    El artículo estudia cómo y de qué manera el Stronismo construyó sus mitos a lo largo de sus primeros 20 años de gobierno, asimismo cómo éstos terminan incorporándose en el imaginario de los dirigentes y simpatizantes del Partido Colorado, asimismo de parte importante de la oposición política e, inclusive, investigadores e investigadoras nacionales y del exterior. A partir de un análisis crítico de la bibliografía producida entre los años 50-70 del siglo XX por diversos actores políticos colorados, intelectuales y propagandistas de la ANR en los años ’60 y ’70 del siglo pasado, es posible entender la sobrevivencia de un “espíritu del Stronismo” en parte importante de la población paraguaya, luego de más de treinta años de su derrocamiento. Se parte de la consideración del Stronismo como Bloque Militar Deformado en relación con el Bloque Militar que surge en 1936 y que se extiende hasta inicios de 1947.

    This article studies how the Stroessner dictatorship built and manufactured its myths along its first twenty years of government, and how these myths were incorporated into the imaginary of the leaders and supporters of de Colorado Party in the country, in the political opposition, and at the Paraguayan and foreign researchers. Starting from a critical analysis of the different books, pamphlets, speech, produced between the 50s and 70s by the Colorado political leaders, intellectuals and the ANR-Colorado Party propaganda teem between the ‘60s and ‘70s, it’s possible to understand the survival of a “Stronismo spirits” on an important segment of the Paraguayan population, after more than thirty of its overthrown. This work introduces a starting point of considering the Stronismo as a Deformed Military Bloc (Bloque Militar Deformado), relating the Military Bloc that emerged in 1936 and goes until 1947.
