Based on the historical-philological method, we propose a journey around one of the most controversial lexical pieces for legal theory, iustitia, in the context of a discursive dispute between the author of the Divinae Institutiones (5.11.19), Lactantius, one of the most renowned thinkers of Latin patristics, and the jurisconsult Domitius Ulpianus.
