Resumen de Capítulo 7. Etnopolítica mapuche-pehuenche: escenarios de reemergencia indígena en Malargüe, Argentina

La estatalidad liberal hegemónica, implica la anulación de cuerpos indígenas como fundamento de un sistema capitalista con ropajes de civilización dominante. En tal sentido, el tipo de racismo perenne aquí analizado, conforma la operación política y cognitiva por excelencia capaz de predicar un crisol de razas bajo la idea de nacionalidad, encubriendo así formas de represión y exclusión territorial. Se reflexiona aquí en torno de los procesos de organización política e identitaria surgidos en los marcos de la redemocratización argentina y su consiguiente traducción en espacialidades de resistencias indígenas invisibilizadas, especialmente al sur de la provincia de Mendoza (Argentina). En particular nos detenemos sobre la experiencia de lucha de las comunidades mapuche/pehuenche articuladas a la organización MalalwecHe, en el territorio de Malargüe. Intentamos conjugar aquí una mirada teórico-crítica con la reivindicación política de una resistencia ancestral en constante reemergencia.

Hegemonic liberal statehood, as well as its modernity, imply the annulment of indigenous bodies as the foundation of a capitalist system in the garb of dominant civilization. In this sense, the type of perennial racism analyzed here is the political and cognitive operation par excellence capable of preaching a melting pot of races under the idea of nationality, thus concealing forms of repression and territorial exclusion. We reflect here on the processes of political and identity organization that emerged in the framework of the Argentine redemocratization and its consequent translation into spatialities of invisibilized indigenous resistances, especially in the south of the province of Mendoza (Argentina). In particular, we focus on the experience of struggle of the Mapuche/Pehuenche communities articulated to the MalalwecHe organization, in the territory of Malargüe. We try to combine here a theoreticalcritical look with the political vindication of an ancestral resistance in constant re-emergence.
