    A lo largo de las páginas de este artículo se tratará de descubrir y conocer la relación del Fundador del Opus Dei con la liturgia, a través de los aspectos biográficos más significativos, especialmente su relación con el movimiento litúrgico, completados con referencias a su pensamiento litúrgico. El amor a la liturgia del Autor le llevará a “emparentar” con muchas de las intuiciones del movimiento litúrgico ya en los años 30 del siglo pasado y le conducirá a una predicación y enseñanzas litúrgicas que precederán, en ocasiones, al magisterio litúrgico del Concilio Vaticano II. Ese mismo amor a la liturgia, como realidad también eclesial, es el que le moverá a promover una introducción ordenada y progresiva de la reforma litúrgica en las celebraciones de los centros del Opus Dei tal y como pedía la Santa Sede.

    The text just quoted constitutes an intro-duction and corazóna framework for this article.Throughout the pages we will try to discover andget to know the relationship of the Founder of OpusDei with the liturgy, through the most significantbiographical aspects, especially his relationshipwith the liturgical movement, complemented byreferences to his liturgical thought. The Author’slove for the liturgy will lead him to “relate” withmany of the intuitions of the liturgical movementalready in the 1930s and will lead him to a prea-ching and liturgical teachings that will precede, attimes, the liturgical magisterium of the SecondVatican Council. This same love for the liturgy, as anecclesial reality, is what moved him to promote anorderly and progressive introduction of the liturgicalreform in the celebrations of the centers of OpusDei, as requested by the Holy See.
